#1. Yes it is worth mentioning as you are clearly confusing Beta with the final release version and making a fuss over it. You just need to report it and move on to finding the next game-breaking bug.

#2. This Beta does compensate for helping to test server stability and bugs - Here's the refresher. The Beta Tester's in-game title (and some items) for your bragging rights.

This negativity you claimed will only affect playerbase when major game-breaking bugs are not fixed in the final release version. You are jumping the gun here.

#3. Yes agree, there is no universal rule. But No, there IS the rules/conditions when you sign up for this beta version - Early access and again, Beta Tester's reward pack. All Beta testing does compensate players with some form of reward during Alpha/Beta phase.

#4. There is no 'unfairness' here. You will be compensated with the, yet again, wait for it... The Beta Tester's reward pack. This is Beta test, you agreed to help test it for bugs and are obliged (but not necessary) to report them when you gladly sign-up for it. The test phase however, did not indicate the requirement for you to waste hours of your life on it. It is up to you to decide if it is worth you investing your time to help with the test. No one forced you.

The disadvantage you so worry about is a mat and consumables. This is not some game breaking bullet-proof mat or super saiyan potion here.

It's funny how you see the need to cite your credentials earlier, yet contridict yourself when you clearly seem to misplace what is considered to be Beta Testing.

P.S. My tongue-in-the-cheek comment is however you choose to read it as. An aggressive mind will read it with an aggressive tone.

    Nanashi-san

    Well for starters,
    1. Beta reward players for participating in the test (Beta test reward package).
    2. Beta does not compensate players due to bugs in beta.

However, I agree with you that any variables that messes up the test will affect the statistics.
Then again, seculating that there will not be a wipe (we dunno that yet) does not justify compensation.

My reply was more along the line of tongue-in-the-cheek towards you crying for compensation.

P.S. I do not require your credentials as it does not change the point that beta testing does not compensate. - I could be wrong, GF might actually compensate everyone in the end of testing.

Games like this are client based peer to peer online games, not server based games. With a server based game like a MMO (these sort of games are just online games, not MMOs), every action gets passed through the servers, so your ping with the servers can have a big impact on how well you can play. With a client based peer to peer game, the servers act more as cloud storage, they record that you got XP, picked up loot, and that sort of thing when in a dungeon, but the rest is handled by the client. If you play alone, your ping with the server has little impact on playing at all, if you play with others, the important thing is your ping with the person hosting that dungeon.

Hmm, I'm not sure SoulWorker is configured the same way as that space ninja game. I'm not sure this game is even relying on cloud/CDN setup. I could be wrong. Please provide confirmation on this.

We are in a beta so it is to be expected.

No offense but are you their janitor? I see you saying that in every thread. I'm not a baby just born to be educated how a beta works.

Makabe was informing, not educating. ( <- this here is educating. I'll bill you the tuition fee.)
If you know how beta works, yet start a topic with a this title. #PointToPonder

I don't think this topic is even up for voting. It is up to Tech. dept. They call the shorts here, not the players.

Keep in mind with all the tweaking and changes that goes into the codes during test phase, it could be messy in there. If they deem a wipe is necessary for overall system stability for the long run, why not. I'm all for it.

As for me, wipe or not, I do not mind either. System stability is more important to me.
If I enjoy a game, I do not mind playing it all over again from Lv1.

I still need to know if they are gonna wipe or not. = ,=

I hate how there is no definite answer.

Putting in all this effort and time only to have it wasted in the end. = w=....

    1. Expect it that there will be a wipe when there is no clear notice.
    2. You can always wait till official launch to investing time+effort. Beta is unfortunately what it is, beta.

I do understand where you are coming from. More info is always good for the consumer. Makes them feel appreciated and included. I don't like to be in the dark as well. But that being said, what you (and I) expect how a company should share info is not the same as what they can/willing to share. It is still up to them.

As for beta wipe. I've always expect beta to be wiped when I do beta testing. Sometimes it can be a good thing to start with a fresh system. Kinda like how you occasionally need to reinstall a fresh, clean Windows. (I tweak Windows too much). I dunno, lets see how it goes.
